Tasting-—Mas Carlot

Name: Mas Carlot Costieres de Nimes

Variety: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre

Region: Costières de Nîmes

Country: France

Year: 2016

Price: $4.95

Shop/wine critic/winery review: This mouthwatering rosé is a traditional blend of 50% Grenache, 40% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre. It's medium-bodied, boasting notes of fresh herbs, cherries and white chocolate, balanced by a hints of sea spray. Drink it over the next year.

Your review: This rosé had a very sweet floral and fruity, berry aroma. The wine had light mouthfeel. I was surprised that this wine tasted dryer than it smelled and had more of a tart, lemon/lime taste with some sweet berry flavors.

I had this without tasting food.
